Collection: Phoebe Jamieson

Phoebe Jamieson is a multidisciplinary Australian artist working in both painting and ceramic mediums, examining moments of connectedness through shape, form and materiality. Her abstract paintings underscore the unpredictability of paint on raw canvas and brushstrokes. In her ceramic sculptures, curves, and negative and positive spaces often allude to the rolling hills and farmlands of her home in rural Victoria, exploring relationships to nature, memory, and community.

Throughout her work, Jamieson juxtaposes vibrant and muted hues to reflect the inherent emotions of color as well as the playfulness of both nature and the human spirit. At the core of her artistic practice, her work examines the active imagination in order to bridge the conscious and unconscious, creating empathetic pathways to understand our shared connections through paintings and sculptures that become vessels of storytelling and humanity.

Jamieson has exhibited in New York and London, and her work is in private collections in Australia, Europe, and the United States.
